redeemedHOW WILL you feel if you find yourself in the New Jerusalem someday, walking the streets of gold, and you turn a corner to find yourself face to face with David Berkowitz, the Son of Sam? Or the “Milwaukee Cannibal” Jeffrey Dahmer?  Or Manson Family members Susan Atkins or Charles “Tex” Watson?

Is that possible? The Bible says yes.

Donna Howell, co-author with Tom Horn of the new book Redeemed Unredeemable: When America’s Most Notorious Criminals Came Face to Face With God, discusses the conversion stories of seven of America’s most reviled killers. Donna talks about the origins of the book, the process of obtaining exclusive interviews with the likes of Watson and Berkowitz, and what it means for us if God is willing to forgive even those who have committed the most horrific crimes.

  1. This was a powerful episode. It has inspired me in a project I’m working on as well as in my own relationship with God. I found tears coming to my eyes in regards to Charles Watson’s story or at least the little bit that was revealed on the episode. It really makes you realize how much we place God in our own little boxes with our own corporeal philosophies on how things should work and play out. Great episode and I will be checking out Ms. Howell’s book.

  2. During this episode Ms. Howell mentioned a secure email site. I’m not finding any mention of it here in the show notes. Can you direct me to the site in question?

That program was recorded almost a year ago. I’m not sure of what you’re referring to. Are you thinking of the interview with Dr. Katherine Albrecht? StartMail?
