THE LARGEST Christian denomination on the planet seems to have a profound interest in things happening off planet — meaning outer space.  The Roman Catholic Church has been involved in astronomical studies since the time of Galileo.

Cris Putnam, co-author with Tom Horn of Exo-Vaticana: Petrus Romanus, Project LUCIFER, and the Vatican’s Astonishing Exo-Theological Plan for the Arrival of an Alien Savior, talks about the Vatican’s apparent fascination with astronomy, its public statements about the existence of extra-terrestrial life, and the possible reasons the Roman Catholic Church feels compelled to speculate about the nature of ET’s soul.

You can find Exo Vaticana and Cris’ other books here.

  1. So…the Roman Catholic Church is now a Christian denomination? Funny, I always viewed them as a false religion.

Since, they declared Protestantism as being anathema at the Council of Trent and deny justification by faith alone, they worship angels, dead men, relics and Mary as the Queen of Heaven, they pray to men and have a Pope that claims to be the Vicar of Christ, I sort of thought that put them on the opposite side of Christianity.

I am not half as interested in how they feel about aliens in outer space as I am that many consider them to be a Christian denomination.

Rick: That’s a discussion for a different show.

What I find interesting is that we can’t discuss the Roman Catholic Church without being called haters or apologists for the Vatican. Sometimes for the same show.
