Those questions are central to the plot of The Facade, the thought-provoking novel by Dr. Michael Heiser, academic editor for Logos Bible Software and a scholar of Biblical Hebrew and ancient Israelite and Egyptian history. He's also a well-regarded ufologist, and he manages to bring those seemingly diverse areas of study together in the special edition of The Facade, newly released by Kirkdale Press.
